Tim Westwood chats to I Like Music
TIM: The thing with Snoop is he's shown me tremendous love. I knew Snoop very early on his career, before he really blasted off and was appearing on the Dre album. I knew Snoop really well then and we spent a lot of time together hanging out. As a result of that he shows me tremendous love. He'll come on the show for three hours and freestyle from nine 'til midnight. Yeah, he's an incredible artist. He's a real superstar in the game man.
ILM: Eminem also says he's a big fan of yours. What's been your most comic moment while in the presence of Snoop, Eminem or 50 Cent?
TIM: I don't know if it was a comedy moment… but it was Live 8 a few years ago, when a lot of artists came to appear in Hyde Park. What happened was, Snoop came down with a crew and he was keeping it real on the radio; he was freestylin' and really making it happen. But he's a street guy and, after Live 8, people were really on a very positive note and trying to keep it upbeat and he was out there doing what he does best.

There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
