After the release of his debut single Rive Phoenix, which picked up huge support and radio playlist action, Trip released debut album Shortcuts. Co-written with Does It Offend You Yeah's Jamie Rushsent, Trip sets about loosening his tongue with trademark tight lyrics, aiming a barrage of disses fired squarely at the most deserving of targets.
Having toured the globe with Killah Kellah, supported Busta Rhymes and recently embarking on a 24 hour video filming project, I Like Music and Trip had a lot to chat about...

ILM: How would you describe your debut album Shortcuts?
Trip: Shortcuts is a culmination of five, six years work. I must have written about thirty songs and narrowed them down to my favourite ten. The songs are like diary entries about my friends, my family, things that I've been through, things my friends have been through, living in Holloway and growing up around this area. The songs are based on true stories, perhaps slightly glossed up for poetic justice! But all of them are true depictions of what I've been up to across the last five or six years of my life.
