ILM: So that must just be an enjoyable process?
Chris: Yeah, it's very interesting - the different subtleties of what can really make it work and also make it go in the wrong direction too. I particularly like the heavier section of the set, in a way I like getting freed up from playing the guitar as well and jumping around and bash on the keyboard and just be heavy and crazy.
ILM: I hear you've also been invited to play dates with Sonic Youth and The Flaming Lips
Chris: That's right. Yeah, when we got that offer, 'Do you want to play with Sonic Youth and the Flaming Lips, we're like, 'Oh my God, that's fantastic.' And Sonic Youth are a great inspiration to us as well, definitely they're like masters of a textural psychedelic stuff and we were watching them from the side of the stage when they finished Teenage Riot and it was a beautiful moment, and we also did a show with the Flaming Lips in Toronto and it was great. Their audience was really supportive, and into what we were doing and they were the same. The guys were excellent and then we got to watch them from the side of the stage and from the word go, they were just having a celebration. It was absolutely brilliant so I just had a huge smile on my face the whole time.
