We caught up with our good friend deadmau5 to chat about playing new London club matter, his debut album Random Album Title and his thoughts on the role of the DJ.

ilm: So we are talking about matter, you played there last night, how was it from an artist point of view?

deadmau5: Ah yeah, it's really good. The sound system is awesome. I see it more like a live venue than a club, I'm diggin' it huge.

ilm: So you'd like to play there again?

deadmau5: Defo. The floor has like 75,000 watts comming through it, crazy! I walked through when Chris Lake was playing and it sounds fucking great. Although I was actually quite ill during my set, I had to lift my mau5 head and gag, twice!

ilm: Eew! Dont gag inside the mau5 head!

deadmau5: [laughs] No way man, that would be soooo wrong.

ilm: You have your debut album out now on Ministry Of Sound...

deadmau5: Yeh! I just popped into an HMV last night actually and saw it in there.
