I Like Music Because heading
  • JunJun: ilikemusic because... music can convey a mood, enhance a mood or change a mood. Music can be used to inspire and the artform is simple yet complicated. It's fun to listen to and even more fun to create and perform. It speaks when just a simple word can't. It's a blessing!!

  • Master GeeMaster Gee: ilikemusic because... It gives me an opportunity to truly express myself, unlike what happens in an everyday living situation where there are restrictions on you and limitations on you and demands on you and bills to pay, through music I can truly be comfortable with who I am, and do what I really want to do and say what I really want to say.
  • Stine RichardStine Richard: ilikemusic because... its the only way I know how to express myself...
  • Jo WhileyJo Whiley: ilikemusic because... It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.
  • Oliver, Young KnivesOliver, Young Knives: ilikemusic because... It evokes a mood and a feeling of when you last heard the track.

Noodle chats to ilikemusic.com

'Yes…..it's coming up a bit….it's coming up…it's coming up…it's coming up….it's there!'

It sounded so good that we decided to use that bit for the chorus.

ILM: Who came up for the concept for the new video?

NOODLE: As usual we worked with Jamie Hewlett again to give a visual interpretation for the song. We sent him a CD of the track and he sent us some cool ideas of how the video could be shot. We all like the idea of 'Re-Animating' Shaun, so that's the one we went with.

Again, to make it, we worked with the reliable combination of Passion Pictures, Jamie Hewlett and Pete Candeland.

The video is shot in my bedroom at Kong Studios. The lighting that they used gives the room a dramatic dark red quality to it. The set was built in miniature to make Shaun look massive compared to me. The person who designed the set had just been working on the 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' film. We can see Shaun's massive head fixed into the bedroom floor, and he has all these tubes sticking out of his head.
