ILM: Can you describe the James Blunt process of making extraordinary music?
James: The main thing I do is get out there and live life & occasionally come home and write about it
ILM: Your dad considered music to be unnecessary noise. He must surely like your music -it's not noisy it's gorgeously delightful? Right?
James: Wrong! Although my dad doesn't understand or need music he understands the notion of entertaining a audience, so he enjoys coming to the live shows and seeing the mechanics of how it works then he will tell me "its not really my thing" but the crowd seem to like it....
ILM: You studied Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering and Sociology and ended up in the army, tell me a bit about the journey and what you learned?
James: I learnt about stresses and strains of metals, I learnt to talk allot of rubbish and sociology, I also learnt to act like I know what the hell is going on in the army when I really haven't a clue.....
