It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.

Each peice by itself is unique and looks like no other puzzle peice, but when you put it all together, you expeirience a completely different picture. It's on an almost daily basis that I find myself getting lost in my music, and I love it!

Reverend And The Makers chat to I Like Music

I like to go out on the streets every night after gigs with my guitar. We stopped a bit of traffic in the middle of Belfast and it obviously caused a bit of a stir. But I like to go outside with people, because a lot of bands talk about being for the people but actually after gigs they'll be sat in their dressing room doing coke and sipping mojitos, listening to people blowing smoke up their arses, whereas, I'm on the street every time…

ILM: Well, you do write music that is genuinely for the people.

JON: Yeah and I think you can either pay lip service to that or you can be genuine. I think the fact that we go out there… if I do an interview for instance, because I'm quite an opinionated person, and if someone looks at what I'm saying in an interview and takes umbridge with it they can come and discuss it with me, I'm not hiding from anyone. There'll be 2000 people at the Manchester Ritz and I'll still be like that. I think that's important, because how can you write songs about people, for people unless you mix with real people?
