Nick: We just start jamming. Someone might come in with a line or a title or a rift or a groove, and we start jamming around it. Generally we'll start jamming our own parts and I'll start wailing some kind of melody and then I'll say a line and everyone will say that's a good line, we'll keep that, so then we'll see what that means to everybody and then start thinking about lyrical content. So it's organic.
For me, writing music has always been about having fun, and to be able to sit round with three of your mates and write and play is really important. And it's good that we all write together around one central theme, because everybody relates to it in a different way and comes at it with a different perspective, and that's healthy as far as the creative process goes.
