It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.
  • Oliver, Young KnivesOliver, Young Knives: ilikemusic because... It evokes a mood and a feeling of when you last heard the track.

  • JunJun: ilikemusic because... music can convey a mood, enhance a mood or change a mood. Music can be used to inspire and the artform is simple yet complicated. It's fun to listen to and even more fun to create and perform. It speaks when just a simple word can't. It's a blessing!!
  • Seaney DevereuxSeaney Devereux: ilikemusic because... there's a song for every emotion and music creates debate and debate is what brings us together, it breaks down the walls that seperate sterotypes and it's always involved in your favourite youth memories.

Placebo to Release Singles Collection

Placebo are pleased to announce that on 18 October they will release a collection of their singles-to-date, entitled Once More With Feeling.

The collection will bring together all the singles the band has released over the past eight years from their four albums to date: Placebo, Without You I'm Nothing, Black Market Music and Sleeping With Ghosts. It will also feature one new track which be released as a single on 4 October (more details to follow).

Placebo have sold near-on a million albums in the UK and 4.5 million albums worldwide, with 1.3 million of those sales being from last year's Sleeping With Ghosts, which was celebrated with the recent release of Virgin's biggest selling DVD to date, Soulmates Never Die- Live in Paris 2003.

The band are currently finishing off a hugely successful European tour which will culminate with performances at Reading and Leeds Festival, on 29th and 27th August respectively.
