lorennn: ilikemusic because... its brilliant. music is life. life would suck without music (:
Sharleen Spiteri: ilikemusic because... it takes me to places that life can't
O'Bailey: ilikemusic because... I can live vicariously through a song, whether it's a screaming angry rock anthem or a silly kids song ("I'm a little yellow fish" anyone?) haha!
Chuck, Simple Plan: ilikemusic because... It was always a way to escape whatever problems I was going through; whatever trouble I had, I could just put on a record or a song and feel better right away and I hope that our music can have the same effect on our fans.
James Blunt: ilikemusic because... conversation is so limited. It’s the best form of expression we have.
Scott, Thin Lizzy: ilikemusic because... It lets my adrenalin start pumping, it gets aggression out, and sometimes I can actually get emotional with it. There are many reasons why I like music.
Sylvia Powell: ilikemusic because... It can make me happy yet it can make me feel sad. It helps me remember, but it can also make me forget. Most of all I like music because it makes me feel alive.
ashutosh: ilikemusic because... whatever journey you're on, you need a sountrack.

However, since the statement was release Ali has said it has nothing to do with his wanting to focus on his solo career and more to do with management issues. (See his letter to fans above)
UB40s forthcoming album, 24/7, which features Campbell, will still be released. Ali told ilikemusic.com, "The new UB40 album 24/7 has some of the best lyrics we've ever done."
In fact, when ilikemusic.com spoke to Ali late last year he seemed to be having more fun on his own. "I'm on my 24th album with UB40. I can't say it's as much fun working with UB40 as it is on my own," he told us. Although he was still very proud of his achievements with UB40.
"There's been an album a year for the past 25 years or so and we do put ourselves through it a bit, when we're writing an album. We've got a standard that we've set ourselves and we don't want to slip beneath it," Ali told us.
"And we've never stopped touring. You know these bands who come back together to celebrate their 25th anniversary and haven't actually been a band for 17 years or whatever. We've done it year in year out. I think we are probably the most toured band."
UB40s last gigs together will be next month in Australia, New Zealand and Uganda. page << 1 2 3 4 >>
