Altitude Festival 2010 More Acts

Altitude Festival

"The Altitude Festival is the highlight of the year for me. Sliding, jokes and tunes... is there anything finer? Altitude 2010 has the best line up yet and is going to be a laugh-alanche. You heard me - A Laugh-alanche - eat my pun!" - Marcus Brigstocke (Curator)

Altitude Festival, set in Méribel the French Alps' most picturesque resort at the heart of Three Valleys, is ready to announce even more top-drawer comedians and music acts for its third annual outing, which takes place between March 20th and 26th 2010. Twinning their love of the slopes with a good hearty laugh, festival curators Marcus Brigstocke and Andrew Maxwell have created one of the winter festival seasons most anticipated events that in two short years has already established itself as the après-ski destination for discerning snow lovers.

Having played host to some of the world's funniest men, Altitude are delighted to announce that the amazing Al Murray will be joining the line up for 2010. A Perrier Award winner who was voted #16 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-ups, the nation's favourite publican and star of ITV1's Al Murray's Happy Hour, and Another Audience With…, The Pub Landlord will be stepping out from behind the taps to address a heady brew of topics with his imitable boozer-based logic and audience banter.

Also joining the throng will be the incredible Phil Kay a one time best newcomer at the Perrier's, who will be delivering a high octane blizzard of surreal asides. Another former Perrier winner, Rich Hall, who has become one of QIs most featured guests will be returning to Altitude once again with his trademark deadpan delivery. And Jonathan Ross's chat-show house band 4 Poofs & A Piano who regularly play-in the guests on the show to an audience of millions will be bringing their lauded show of jaunty reworkings to the Alps.

Other acts displaying their not inconsiderable chops will include surrealism from Hyperdrive and Comedy Cuts' Dan Antopolski, Late Edition and Now Show writer Nick Doody, Canadian veteran of Just For Laughs Craig Campbell, Irish stand-up Ian Coppinger who won audiences over with appearances on RTE The Panel, Micky Flanagan who was nominated for best newcomer in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, Rufus Hound who is currently on our screens battling Mr Brigstocke in Argumental, Washington DC's finest Tony Woods, the self proclaimed German Comedy Ambassador for London Henning Wehn and the multi-talented Mark Walker.
