Amy Winehouse Commences Comeback Tour
Amy Winehouse has started her 12-date European comeback tour. The singer gave her first live performance in two months since she entered rehab and cancelled a number of summer shows.
Amy performed at Berlin's Tempodrom last night (Monday 15th October), the first concert of the 12-date tour which stops at Hamburg tonight before coming to the UK. The UK leg of the tour kicks off in Birmingham on November 14th and finishes in Manchester on December 13th.
In August Amy cancelled performances at V Festival, T in the Park and the recent MTV Video Awards as she battled issues of a personal nature and was admitted to rehab.
The soul singer also postponed her North American tour until 2008. Plans are being made to reschedule her US. tour for early 2008. Until then, Amy has been ordered to rest and, until commencing her European tour was said to be "working with medical professionals to address her health."
Despite the cancellations, Amy took home many awards this summer, including MOBO awards and Q awards.
Meanwhile, according to Pete Doherty who has been off drugs for six weeks after his own stint in rehab, he's been writing new material and is keen to persuade Amy winehouse to collaborate with him. "I'm going to try and get Miss Winehouse to help me with it hopefully," Pete told radio station, XFM.
