Arctic Monkeys and The Killers Scoop Brits Double
James Morrison won the Best British Male Artist award and Amy Winehouse received the award for Best British Female Artist.
Take That's hit Patience triumphed in the Best British single category in the event's first live public vote. The reformed pop band beat Razorlight, Snow Patrol Will Young and The Feeling to secure their Best Single Brit after viewers texted their favourites in a live vote.
Best International Male Artist award was scooped by Justin Timberlake, while Nelly Furtado won the Best International Female Brit AWard. Nelly received two nominations back in 2002 but this was her first Brits win. "All my favourite bands are from here," declared Nelly on accepting her award.
Sadly, Gnarls Barkley, Corinne Bailey Rae, Snow Patrol and Lily Allen all missed out, receiving no awards, despite being nominated in multiple categories.
