The show will follow the late Spring release of their second album - the follow up to their enormously successful "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not". It has been a fantastic year for Arctic Monkeys they have gained outstanding critical acclaim from around the World, receiving various nominations for Best Live Band and Best Band and have been voted number 1 album in many of the major magazines and newspapers globally. They have also been nominated for a Grammy in two categories: Best Alternative Music album and Best Rock Instrumental Performance for the track "Chun Li's Spinning Bird Kick".

Having decided to do their own thing next year, Arctic Monkeys are planning to make this very exclusive with support from their favourite bands - who will be announced shortly. They will play their longest set to date, incorporating tracks from their debut and their hugely anticipated new album.
The tickets for the 50,000 capacity event will go on general sale on Friday 15th December 2006 at 12.30pm.
