Glasvegas have also been confirmed as support for the Oasis performance. Today's announcement sees Oasis join a range of artists already confirmed to perform from Burt Bacharach to Razorlight, Chaka Khan to The Streets and The Last Shadow Puppets to Nitin Sawhney. The Oasis performance will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1 from 9pm on 26th October, and on BBC2 at 22:45 on the same day. All of the performances from the BBC Electric Proms can be accessed either at the venues, watching and listening on the BBC, or by interacting with red button technology and on mobile.
Pete and the Pirates
Pete and the Pirates, General Fiasco, Chew Lips and Pull In Emergency are to play a BBC Introducing night in Camden later this month as part of the BBC Electric Proms 2008. The gig will also be broadcast on Radio 1 on Wednesday October 29.
