Natasha Bedingfield and Muse Scoop BT Digital Music Awards
There were 21 awards presented on the night, 13 of which were voted for by music fans via btdma.com and seven by a panel of experts. This very site - ilikemusic.com - made the shortlist for the Best Music Magazine award, but was pipped to the post by "the don of music mags", NME.com
"We're happy that NME.com won again. They are the industry leaders with a huge team behind them," said editor of ilikemusic.com, Cheryl Rickman [pictured below with fellow nominees, The Hoosiers (left) and Lethal Bizzle with MC Midas (right)]. "As the only independent magazine in the shortlist with no financial backers and a tiny team, we were thrilled to be nominated alongside the big boys and had a great time at the ceremony." The awards are televised on Channel 4 this Friday at 00.40.
Natasha Bedingfield wasn't the only one to take to the stage at the awards - The Rakes, winners of 'Best Artist Promotion', former Sugababe Mutya Buena, The Hoosiers, Newton Faulkner and Amy MacDonald all blew the crowd away with their performances on the night.
