I Like Music Because heading
  • Leon Jean-MarieLeon Jean-Marie: ilikemusic because... It transcends. It really creates emotion with someone. That feeling it gives you, it goes through boundaries. To create something, it just breaks through all the walls. When you connect with a song, that is it, that is magic isn't it?

  • Sarah ChristineSarah Christine: ilikemusic because... Music is like a puzzle. Each peice by itself is unique and looks like no other puzzle peice, but when you put it all together, you expeirience a completely different picture. It's on an almost daily basis that I find myself getting lost in my music, and I love it!
  • DanielDaniel: ilikemusic because... When you can finally stop listening to mainstream so called POP and HIPHOP artists you laugh at how bad it really is. ROCK ON MUSE

You might argue that you can translate emotions through films and through books but anyone can make music, whether that be humming or singing along to the radio, it’s something that gives enjoyment and positivity to many people.

Basshunter and Amy Macdonald Top UK Charts

Amy MacDonald has knocked Radiohead's In Rainbows off the top spot in the UK album chart with her This is The Life album. While Basshunter has climbed from number 14 to secure the number one position in the singles chart with his house tune, Now You're Gone, pipping Britney Spears to the post. Britney's Piece of Me single was at number two, just behind Basshunter, kicking Soulja Boy's Crank That down to number three.

Leon Jackson's When You Believe single was knocked off the number one spot by Basshunter and is now at number five, below Nickelback's Rockstar which is at number four.

Amy Macdonald is set to release her fourth single from her chart topping album in February. Meanwhile Radiohead's In Rainbows was at number two in the album chart, followed by Take That with Beautiful World at three, Scouting For Girls with their self-titled album at number four and Mika's Life In Cartoon Motion back up to number five.

The only new release in the top 20 singles chart this wee was Lupe Fiasco's Superstar which entered the chart at number seven.

Oystar's single about trying to reclaim bank charges, I Fought The Lloyds, made an appearance in the chart at number 25.

Tom Baxter's Skybound was the only new entry within the top 40 albums and went in at number 20.

Albums by Robert Plant, Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis and Newton Faulkner climbed up to retain places in the top 10 in a relatively quiet week for albums.
