Bestival 2006 Announce Headliners as the Pet Shop Boys

Another of this year's main stage marvels is Devendra Banhart. Indulge in beautifully crafted U.S folk, hippy murmurings plus beads and joss sticks from Rob da Banks favourite live artist of 2005.

The Stranglers need little introduction and Bestival is chuffed to have one of the U.K's greatest acts ever at our summer shindig - We can't wait to sing along to hits such as Golden Brown, Peaches and No More Heroes - peachy indeed!

Bestival's Rob da Bank has also peppered the line up with an amazing array of bright young things for 2006. From hotly tipped electronic wizard Nathan Fake and bass slapping Indie-folk wonder Jamie T to Lamacq's latest nod The Sunshine Underground it's a sizzling line up from the off. The new incarnation from two members of the Beta Band and a Lone Pigeon, The Aliens add musical magic with their spacey psychedelia avant rock.

The previously undiscovered favourites of last year's festival, the rockabilly band Kitty Daisy & Lewis, who incredibly are aged at just 11, 15 and 17, are back and are now Sunday Best's newest signing. Brighton's hottest new export Cagedbaby is making his third Bestival appearance with his wondrous electro house.
