Idol completed a European Festival tour in the summer, during which he performed in several Eastern European territories for the first time ever and went down a storm. In Serbia where Idol headlined the third day of the prestigious Exit Festival, which featured artists including Franz Ferdinand, Morrisey and Dizzee Rascal - the organisers said "the biggest audience was on the third day to see Idol.
Billy Idol is the biggest star of Exit 06 festival," Exit News (online) reported. "… he has the biggest number of hits, even though the rest of the artists are big names too…he is Billy f***ing Idol! "Billy also headlined Guilfest before heading back to the US leg of his tour. His Devil's Playground album - the first for 12 years - received rave reviews in 2005. Idol has sold in excess of 20 Million albums worldwide over the past 4 decades and is currently in LA writing material for his next studio album.
