The band will also be the subject of a Channel 4 4Music Presents programme on Sunday 4th February which will showcase tracks from Bloc Party's new album "A Weekend In The City" released 5th February.
4Music Presents on Sunday will be presented by Miquita Oliver. As well as featuring four new tracks from their forthcoming album, Bloc Party will also give an exclusive performance of one of their old hits.
They kicked off their UK tour last night with a stellar performance at Southampton Guildhall and will be touring throughout February.
'A Weekend in the City' is released on Monday (5 Feb) and 'The Prayer' is available to buy now.
Bloc Party release their second full-length album A Weekend In The City - 5th February 2007 through Wichita Recordings. Produced by Jacknife Lee and recorded at Grouse Lodge Studios in Ireland. Bloc Party's newest collection of songs is a stunning, intense and brilliant follow-up to their celebrated debut Silent Alarm.
