Chew The Fat! 12th Birthday!

Speaker Junk (Herve + Trevor Loveys), Riva Starr, Doorly (Reclaim the Dancefloor), Paul 'Trouble' Arnold, Urban Nerds, Keyboard Masher and more…

Reaching the ripe old age of 12 is something of an achievement in the fickle world of clubland - for many it's time to pick up the clubbing pension and head off to Somerset to open a Gastropub. Thankfully not so for Chew the Fat! - who are bounding into their 12th year with an exciting music policy, a boisterous young crowd and an atmosphere at all their parties that would get even a real pensioner dancing, should gramps happen to stumble onto the dancefloor by mistake one night.

What's the secret? Perhaps it's their unwavering commitment to hunting out new talent - supporting hot new producers such as A1bassline, Raffertie and Bobmo - and installing the supremely talented Foamo as resident. It definitely has something to do with their attitude, or rather their lack of it. Without doubt one if the capital's friendliest parties, there's no room for posing here, just jump onto the dancefloor and get on it. Perhaps it's also their constant desire to do something a bit different - with live street art regularly staged in the outdoor arch. Whatever their magic formula, it's working a treat - and they've pulled out all the stops for their 12th birthday celebration on October 9th.
