DJ Skully Scoops DMC UK Title
Huge congratulations go out to DJ Skully who marked a triumphant return to competitive turntablism with a performance that displayed his effortless style and technical panache at the DMC UK DJ Championships Final. Placing first in the competition, which took place at Islington Academy, means Skully is now set to represent UK turntablists and compete against the cream of the global DJ crop at the DMC World DJ Championships 2008.

Skully first shot to prominence by being the first DJ to win the UK Battle For Supremacy, an offshoot of the main championships where DJs compete head to head rather than in sequence. After winning that, and the finals in 2002 he went on to win the Diesel U Music Award for Best Scratch DJ and then focussed on production and mixtapes. He's come 2nd at the World Finals twice, so this year Skully definitely has something to prove.
