It's Your Choice
True dat. But having more choice doesn't always make it easier to choose what to do with your life. It can be overwhelming. Still, having a lot to choose from can be used to your advantage. It means you can devote your working life to doing something you really enjoy doing.
Says UK hip hop star Sway, "Music is just one option, there's loads of things man, there's university and colleges, you know, you could become a doctor!"
"Everybody is born with a skill," adds Sway. "That's what I believe man, and it could take anything to extract that skill from you."
So, how do you find out exactly what your skills are, and uncover what you enjoy doing that uses those skills?
Well…you can visit websites like CXD-i and Connexions Direct which provide advice, guidance and pathfinders to do just that. Talk to people about their jobs. Surf the web. Take time to think through what you'd enjoy getting up each morning to do and be paid to do.
