It's Your Choice

That learning gave Steve the self-confidence in what he was doing which spurred him on and helped him impress the right people. Nowadays he has one of the most successful urban radio shows in Europe and has won more MOBO awards than anyone else; six in total.

The right attitude, confident but professional, is crucial to making the most of the choices you make. But it's important to get the right balance and always be open to learning.

As Nelly Furtado advises, "Keep open minded. A lot of people shoot themselves in the foot just with their attitude, if they have a negative attitude, or a pretention before they've even achieved anything. You can't be like that. You have to really go through every door that you see and don't close those doors with the wrong attitude."

Andre from boy band 365 attended the BRIT School in 2003 and studied Music Technology and Production. As a result he learned the importance of having the right attitude.

"More than anything, The Brit School taught me the importance of being professional," says Andre. "To keep your head down and make sure you're working and being on time."

So, to summarise, use the wide choice at your fingertips to your advantage, invest in yourself and your dreams, have the right attitude and don't be late!

On CXD-i follow the different routes taken by two young people as they explain, in their own words, how they both reached the same goal, from landing that dream job to working and learning or just getting involved. Click here for more information.page << 1 2 3 4 5 >>
