DJ Yoda's A-Z of BBC Radio 1

As part of BBC Radio 1's prodigious 40th Birthday celebrations, beginning on the 30th September, the incomparable DJ Yoda has been commissioned to create the 'A-Z of Radio 1', a one hour super mash-up of the station's best and most notorious moments. (BBC RADIO1 9PM-10PM).

One of the greatest turntablists to grace the platters, DJ Yoda is respected the world over for his lightning mixing and wry sense of humour. His abilities will be put to good use when he comes face-to-face with the world's best radio station.

Due to be broadcast at 9pm on 30th September, DJ Yoda will be unleashing his alchemic expertise on Radio 1's archive; laying down a seamless journey from Tony Blackburn's legendary first show, cutting and scratching through John Peel's endearingly muddled links and the Hairy Cornflake's on-air resignation, all the way to crabbing and transforming the present incumbents. Dropping the gamut of musical styles championed by Radio 1 in 40 glorious years, Yoda's innate ability to bring the funk will be central to the show. So sit back and enjoy as Yoda travels through time covering the 'A - Z of Radio 1'.
