24 year old Dizzee fought off competition from the Black Eyed Peas who remained at number two with single Boom Boom Pow. Swedish singer Agnes had a new entry at number three with her single Release Me, followed by Tinchy Stryder's Number 1, which charted at four and Daniel Merriweather's single Red, which completed the top five.
The highest climber in the singles chart this week came from The Veronicas. The Australian duo rose 146 places to chart at number eight with their single Untouched.
Eminem remained top of the UK album charts this week for the second week running with new album Relapse. This was followed by the self titled debut album from Escala, the Britain's Got Talent 2008 finalists, who entered the album charts at number two. The UK string quartet also had an entry in the singles charts with the track Palladio, which charted at number 38 this week.
New entries into the album charts came from Pink whose boxset of albums, which includes four discs, charted at number seven. The 16th studio album from popular 80's rockers Simple Minds, titled Graffiti Soul, charted at number ten. Iron Maiden entered the charts at number 15 with live album Flight 666, while Paulo Nutini's debut album These Streets charted at 36, marking 122 weeks within the top 40.
