Duffy Does UK Chart Double

Duffy has scored a UK chart double as her debut album, Rockferry, has gone straight in at number one in the album chart, knocking Amy Winehouse down to number two, while her Mercy single retained its lead at the top of the UK singles chart for a third week.

The Welsh soul singer, who came second in the BBC's Sound of 2008 talent search has outsold the rest of the top 10 combined and now has the fastest-selling album of 2008.

Meanwhile, Adele, who topped the Sound of 2008 chart has the biggest-selling album of the year with her debut album, 19.

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds went straight in at number 10 in the album chart.

Meanwhile, in the UK singles chart, H Two O ft Platinum retained their position at number two and Nickelback kept their third position with Rockstar. OneRepublic were at number four with Stop And Stare, followed by Taio Cruz with Come On Girl.

The only new entry in the top 20 were We Are Scientists with their After Hours single.
