Duffy Shows Chart Rivals No Mercy

Soul singer Duffy has retained the UK's number one album with Rockferry for a second week, while her Mercy single tops the UK singles chart for the fourth week.Subsequently, Leona Lewis's Sport Relief single, Better In Time/Footprints In The Sand, went straight in at number two.

In the UK album chart, OneRepublic had the highest new entry with their Dreaming Out Loud album charting at number two. All The Right Reasons, Nickelback's album was at number three, ahead of Leona Lewis's Spirit album at number four. Amy Winehouse's Back To Black slipped from two to number five. Classic Soul Hits, by Motown soul legends The Temptations, was the second highest new entry at number eight.

Meanwhile, in the UK singles chart, Nickelback's Rockstar single retained their top five position 18 weeks after release. H Two O featuring Platnum fell a place from two to three, while OneRepublic retained the number four spot with Stop and Stare. Alphabeat were at number six with Fascination. Taio Cruz's Come On Girl was at number eight, ahead of Utah Saints at nine with Something Good 08. Subababes' Denial single climbed from 34 to number 15.

Other new entries included Panic At The Disco who entered the chart at 13 with Nine In The Afternoon. Plus Hard-Fi's I Shall Overcome at 35 with Foals making a new entry at 26 with Cassius and Elbow's Grounds For Divorce at 19.

Meanwhile, Leona's Bleeding Love single re-entered the chart at 40 and Footprints In The Sand charted twice, once at number two as a double-A-side and again at 25 as a standalone single.
