Flaming Lips and Chuck Berry headline Camp Bestival 2008

Hot off Rob da Bank's list of all time favs The Flaming Lips are set to headline on Saturday night: " I've been after the Lips since we started Bestival and for one reason or another (most seeming to involve childbirth!) I've never managed to book them. But now we couldn't be more chuffed to have Wayne Coyne and his bunch of merry men headlining our new show Camp Bestival!" - There's no doubt that The Flaming Lips and the massive fancy dress crowd who join them onstage couldn't be a better fit for our music loving, party crowd - From She Don't Use Jelly to Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots this is gonna a be flaming amazing headline set for Camp Bestival!

Continuing to mix the coolest of kitsch with the best of the new there's no doubt Mr da Bank has delivered an explosive line up of timeless heroes who blend seamlessly with some of the best new talent out there. When Kid Creole and The Coconuts delivered one of the tightest performances known to man 2 years ago at Bestival we knew they'd be back and this time we've tempted them with our Dorset cream teas. Keeping the local spirit alive we have the West Country's finest The Wurzels - guaranteed to get the hoedown started! Also lyrical poet Billy Bragg - a Dorset resident who's not only written some of the UK's finest controversial folk music but is also a dry raconteur and a top bloke to boot.
