Girls Aloud Top UK Album Chart To End Robbie's Reign

Girls Aloud have scored a number one and ended Robbie Williams' reign at the top of the UK album chart. The Greatest Hits album from Girls Aloud went straight in at number one, with Robbie's Rudebox album slipping to number two. Meanwhile The Girls' new single, Something Kinda Ooooh kept it's position at number three in the singles chart. Amy Winehouse's incredible second album, Back To Black followed closely behind Robbie, going straight in at number three. Meanwhile, it was a big week for dance music at the top of the UK singles chart. Fedde le Grand knocked McFly off the top spot to secure the number one spot, with Put Your Hands Up For Detroit, kicking McFly down to number nine. Meanwhile Bodyrox Ft Luciana slammed in behind Fedde at number two with Yeah Yeah.

The highest new entry was the charity U2 and Green Day collaboration, The Saints Are Coming which entered the chart at number six. Profits from the single are going to The Edge's charity Music Rising, which helps replace instruments lost in Hurricane Katrina. All Saints slammed in at number 11 with their new single Rock Steady.
