Gossip - Listen Up

Gossip are a rebel band of survivors, who escaped from rural Arkansas to spread a message of liberty and action. Since their 2003 album, Movement, Gossip has recruited drummer Hannah Blilie to the dynamic duo of guitarist/bassist Brace Paine who grooves on everything from Dischord to Motown and blues vocalist superstar Beth Ditto. Their brilliant and much celebrated new album Standing In The Way of Control was recorded by Guy Picciotto (Fugazi) and Ryan Hadlock (who produced and engineered records for The Strokes, Stephen Malkmus, Blonde Redhead) at Bear Creek studios in Seattle. Fact fans: "Dancing on the Ceiling" by Lionel Ritchie was recorded there.

In their adopted home town of Portland, guitarist Brace Paine (as DJ Night School) now runs the monthly Suicide Club aka "F*ck" The Party @ Rafeals, where they spin 'Punk Crunk Electro Disco Junk' which is swiftly becoming the only night in town, while Beth has just been signed up as the campaign model for Torrid.com, a Los Angeles-based plus-size online fashion e-tailer.
