Amy Winehouse, Steve Sutherland and Jay Sean Take Part in Phase II of HUGO URBAN RULES

To participate, musicians had to upload music to the website, www.hugofragrances.com.

The closing date for entries was ***6th February 2007***. An expert panel will shortlist the most promising bands and artists to attend the Birmingham auditions and masterclasses.

A judging panel will nominate one winner from the auditions and masterclasses to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to launch their career. This jury will include Touch Magazine Contributing Editor Lawrence Lartey and Amy Winehouse herself.

The winner will:

1) perform on stage at a concert in Birmingham warming up for Amy Winehouse and Jay Sean
2) record a track with a professional producer in a top studio
3) have one of their tracks included on a CD ram-packed with hit urban music tracks to be given away with HUGO Fragrances in Spring 2007
4) appear on MTV and MTV Base

It's not just performers who benefit from HUGO URBAN RULES. Music fans can apply for complimentary tickets to the exclusive concert where the HUGO URBAN RULES winner will share the stage with Amy Winehouse, Jay Sean and Steve Sutherland. They can register at www.hugofragrances.com website to enter the competition.

The London launch of HUGO URBAN RULES took place in October with the support of Joe, the US multi platinum legend, SWAY, Scratch, Terri Walker, and Twin B from Radio 1xtra.The campaign received a massive response: over 450 candidates registered for the chance to attend the auditions and masterclasses and more than 500 people attended the London concert.

The winner was a stunning RnB singer, Daizy Agnew from Maidenhead, Berkshire. She performed on stage with Joe, Sway and Terri Walker and has already started to collaborate with top London urban music producer C-Swing (Sugababes, Jamelia) on a new track which will be included on a CD for HUGO URBAN RULES and distributed nationwide next year.page << 1 2 >>
