Shabee Naqvi: ilikemusic because... it takes me away from the pains in life. It's the shoulder I cry on. It's the hug I crave for. It's the smile that lightens up my day...and it pulls me by the ear to a melodious heaven on earth.
Sian Evans: ilikemusic because... when everyone you cared about lets you down (e.g. friends, boyfriend, parents) all at the same time music will always be there to pick you up and help you move on. ;-)
steven bance: ilikemusic becaucse... it produses feelings of utopia.
Cesar Sangwa: ilikemusic because... it's there for me through thick and thin, highs and lows. I think about it when I wake up, and when I close my eyes to sleep. I like music because I'm in love with it!
Kat Vipers: ilikemusic because... There's not many other things to like.
Steve, Hard-Fi: ilikemusic because... Life is not worth living without it. Everything else could disappear, but music is the one thing that always remains with me throughout my entire life.
Ali Campbell, UB40: ilikemusic because... It’s supposed to bring people together.
Leon Jean-Marie: ilikemusic because... It transcends. It really creates emotion with someone. That feeling it gives you, it goes through boundaries. To create something, it just breaks through all the walls. When you connect with a song, that is it, that is magic isn't it?
Sarah Christine: ilikemusic because... Music is like a puzzle. Each peice by itself is unique and looks like no other puzzle peice, but when you put it all together, you expeirience a completely different picture. It's on an almost daily basis that I find myself getting lost in my music, and I love it!New London Festival To Be Headlined By The Who And Roger Waters
Hyde Park Calling is a new festival set to take place July 1-2nd across two stages. Roger Walters will headline on Saturday 1st with support from Texas, while The Who will headline the on Sunday 2nd supported by Razorlight, with other acts still to be announced.
With Glastonbury Festival having a year off, other festivals are pulling out all the stops. Homelands has been replaced by Hi-Fi, which promises a North and South festival with a rock and dance combination, while Hyde Park is proving popular with Red Hot Chili Peppers performing there over the summer, and being the home of The O2 Wireless Festival and now Hyde Park Calling.
Roger Waters last performed at Hyde Park when he was reunited with his Pink Floyd band mates at Live 8 last year. Tracks from The Dark Side Of The Moon will apparently be included in the Hyde Park Calling set and it'll be the only time British audiences will be able to catch a performance of that album this year.
Get your tickets from 9am on Friday 10th March 2006.
