THE GROUP, WHO RELEASED THEIR PHENOMENAL DEBUT ALBUM 'THE WORLD IS THEIRS' LATE LAST YEAR, WILL BE UP AGAINST A NUMBER OF OTHER NOTABLE ARTISTS TO SLUG IT OUT FOR THE TITLE OF 'BEST HIP HOP' AT THE AWARDS HELD ON 25TH APRIL @ THE FORUM - KENTISH TOWN.

Some of the UK's best emerging artists, venues and promoters were celebrating last night after being shortlisted for an INDY Music Award at a jam packed party at the Rock Garden in Covent Garden.

After more than 70,000 votes were cast on the awards website, 52 artists were shortlisted across 13 categories including Guitar Hero Best Rock Act, Gibson Guitar Best Alternative Act, Music Uncharted Best Indie Act, Best Pop Act, Best Folk/Country/Blues Act and Best Urban Act - see full shortlist attached.

The INDY Music Awards is the only awards scheme that celebrates emerging artists, venues and their promoters at the grassroots level. Over the last three months 600 independent promoters, festivals and venues from across the UK nominated 700 of their favourite emerging artists online. The nominees were then whittled down by fan voting to reveal the shortlisted artists.
