Marble Hill, Twickenham; Sunday August 13th
Hands up... who leads a busy and hectic life? Yup, me too, so, what better way to chill out than lazing away a Sunday afternoon, soaking up laid back beats and jazz infused music in the grounds of one of England's finest stately homes?
And that's exactly what the I Like Music team did on Sunday August 13th when we enjoyed the ultimate al fresco musical journey that is the Jazz Cafe Picnic at Marble Hill in Twickenham.
In a nutshell, the Jazz Cafe Picnic is a festival with the best atmosphere anyone could wish for! Laid back, funky and, well… just incredibly enjoyable. As such, it's our very favourite summer outing: the cherry on the top of the festival cake.
Despite raining hard on the motorway en route, as soon as we arrived at Marble Hill, the clouds cleared to reveal a welcoming blue sky. A veritable feast of beats beckoned, along with pork pies, potato wedges, champagne and strawberries … and so it began, one of the best Sundays I've had this year.
