John Mayer January 2010 UK Shows

John Mayer returns to the UK in January and kick-starts the New Year with a series of must-see UK shows following the release of his remarkable new album Battle Studies out November 16th 2009.

The four shows are Mayer's first in the UK since his summer dates in 2008, which culminated with incredible festival performances at Glastonbury and Hard Rock Calling.

Battle Studies is John Mayer's fourth studio album, produced by Mayer and band member Steve Jordan, it also features Pino Palladino and Ian McLagan.

The record showcases universal themes on Heartbreak Warfare, Assassin, and War of My Life, while flexing guitar chops on Rock Song, and a reinterpretation of Crossroads. The phenomenal track Who Says was streamed on his website (September 18th) and received over 240,000 streams!

The famously collaborative guitar player also invited one of music's brightest new talents, Taylor Swift, to appear on Half of My Heart.
