John Peel Tribute Single
‘Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve)?’

A new version of the famous Buzzcocks song, 'Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)?' is released on November 21st as a tribute to John Peel who sadly died just over a year ago. The proceeds from the single will be donated to Amnesty International, one of Peel's favourite charities.

The track has been recorded by some of the artists he championed and admired: David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Roger Daltry (The Who), Elton John, Peter Hook (New Order), The Futureheads, El Presidente and The Datsuns as well as The Buzzcocks themselves.

Elton John said, "It is always important to remember people who encouraged and helped you early in your career. The thing I loved about John was his passion for new music and his praise for things he totally believed in."

Bloc Party who unfortunately could not play on the song due to touring commitments found a different way to contribute. Their bassist, Gordon Moakes, designed the sleeve artwork for the single.
