Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra - Moving Out To The Country

The boogie-woogie man goes rural with an album of country-inspired gems and future classics, with a little help from his friends. One of the most prolific musicians in Britain, multi-platinum selling Jools Holland has impressively released an album every year for the last ten years, and this year is no exception. Released on 20 November 2006, Moving Out To The Country is Holland's 11th album for Warner Music.

Jools formed Squeeze with Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford when he was only 15, and has had continued success from that day forward, with the formation of The Jools Holland Big Band heralding the beginning of the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, the most successful big band in the world today. Pairing the Orchestra with an impressive array of guest vocalists ranging from true musical legends to up-and-coming talent, Moving Out To The Country promises to be his most interesting release to date.

KT Tunstall lends her rich vocals to 'Darkness on the Face of the Earth'
(LISTEN TO AUDIO
), and former Pulp guitarist and solo artist in his own right Richard Hawley re-interprets the Hank Williams classic 'I'm so Lonesome I Could Cry', bringing a dreamy simplicity to the song (LISTEN TO AUDIO).

You could be completely miserable or waiting for a bus and put on any song that inspires you and you can escape into a little world, well that’s what I tend to do anyway.
