KUBB - Wicked Soul

Kubb are receiving rave reviews...

"An extraordinary sit-up-and-listen debut which will be either an impossible-to-follow millstone or the first marker for future greatness" - Sunday Times Culture

"Kubb are looking dead certs to enter the Nation's consciousness." - The Sun

"Kubb's debut album, Mother, could well launch them to the level of Coldplay" - The Times

"Still missing Jeff Buckley all this time? This will ease the pain" - Q

"Blending the depth of Radiohead with the soundscapes of Coldplay, Kubb didn't play songs, they took us on a trip" - The Star

... and that's because they are, quite simply, Incredible! Just beautiful music that evidently comes from the soul, that hypnotises you and takes you on a mystical and fabulous journey. Long live Kubb we say!

On November 7th, Kubb release their gorgeous new single "Wicked Soul" a piano-led, melodic, upbeat pop indie tune paving the way for Kubb's debut album "Mother" out on November 14th and most highly recommended by I LIKE MUSIC!

"Mother" is a record that reaches for the heights of Jeff Buckley, the intensity of a less-goth Muse, and the heft of vintage Radiohead, it is an impressive achievement. Very much an auto biographical account of Harry's convoluted life, "Mother" documents many highs and lows in the guise of bitter but glorious tunes like "Bitch" and towering, orchestral songs like "Grow". Each track has strong emotional intent and dark undertows, as Harry says himself "you can say it's a bit soft but it's also hardcore".
