Latest Reading and Leeds Festival News

Good humoured and witty, it's when working with the crowd that DAN ATKINSON (Leeds 23/8) truly shines, weaving small comic miracles seemingly out of thin air. With an ability to find comedy where it appeared there was none, Dan isn¹t political or particularly topical, nor overly clever, he's just a shabby bearded chap who always makes people laugh.

MATT KIRSCHEN (Leeds 23/8) has stormed on to the scene with an intelligence and talent beyond his years. The winner of the Comedy Store King of Kings, Matt is a name to watch in the UK comedy world.

DOKTORCOCACOLAMACDONALDS (Leeds 23/8, Reading 24/8) is sure to make waves this year. One man and a collection of surrealist songs that are very much within the realms of absurdist comedy. Expect debates with your mates following his numerous appearances over the weekend.

MICHAEL FABBRI (Leeds 23/8) is fast earning an enviable reputation as one of the best up-and-coming acts around - becoming sharper and smarter with each passing month. That ability, plus an eloquence and charm in expressing it, is what makes the off-kilter and increasingly original Fabbri such an enticing prospect for the future.
