DARRYL'S HARD LIQUOR AND PORN (Leeds 22/8). Eight years ago, filmmaker Darryl Gold invited friends over to his Toronto apartment and asked them to bring a spoof sex film along with the usual bottle of tipple. Thus, the Hard Liquor and Porn Film Festival was born. This spontaneous, satirical event has since taken over Canada, and made its first appearance at the London Film Festival this year. Turning our blushes into guffaws, Gold regales attendees with his picks for the funniest parodies of low-budget skin flicks.
Transgressive Records Present
Following last year's immense audio-visual extravaganza which featured a line-up comprising rising stars Jeremy Warmsley, Noah & The Whale, Laura Marling, Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man, Absentee, and many more besides, Transgressive is set to return to Leeds Festival this year, closing the Sunday night of the festival.
