I Like Music Because heading
  • Master GeeMaster Gee: ilikemusic because... It gives me an opportunity to truly express myself, unlike what happens in an everyday living situation where there are restrictions on you and limitations on you and demands on you and bills to pay, through music I can truly be comfortable with who I am, and do what I really want to do and say what I really want to say.

Leona Lewis Remains At Number One

Leona Lewis's version of the Snow Patrol ballad Run has topped the UK singles charts for the second week in a row.

The single, which is available as a download only, fought off tough competition from US rockers Kings Of Leon, whose current single Use Somebody charted this week at number two.

Leona's success continued in the album charts this week, with the deluxe edition of her debut album Spirit rising one place in the UK album charts to number two. Take That remained at number one for the second week in a row with their album The Circus.

Though Leona has achieved considerable success this year, it is anticpated that her successor, the 2008 X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, will score a UK number one next week with her single Hallejulah.

The cover of Leonard Cohen's beautiful ballad has already been released online ahead of its physical release on Wednesday. HMV have already stated that the single is currently its fastest selling download and an almost guaranteed UK christmas number one.

HMV spokesman Genarro Castaldo said: "Hallelujah promises to be the biggest X Factor release yet, and the chances are that Alexandra will have the Christmas number one single in the bag, even before her CD single officially hits the stores in midweek.
