Leona Lewis Storms UK Singles Chart

Leona Lewis has stormed to the top of the singles chart with Bleeding Love. The first single from her debut album has outsold the rest of the top five singles put together, making it the fastest selling single in 2007 in its first week of release.

218,000 copies of the single were sold, giving Leona her second number one single and beating Take That's Rule The World into second place.

"The sales are incredible," said Simon Cowell of Leona's achievement. "I'm absolutely thrilled for Leona, she thoroughly deserves it."
