Leona Lewis retained her position at the top of the new-look UK singles chart for a third week with her debut single, A Moment Like This, while Take That remained at number one in the album chart with Beautiful World.
Eric Prydz vs Floyd went straight in at number two with Proper Education, pushing Take That down to three, while U2 entered the chart at number four with their new U2_Window_In_The_Skies_competition-3318">Window In The Skies single.
Snow Patrol were back in the chart at number 9 with Chasing Cars, benefiting from the newly revamped chart rules, which enable any downloads to be counted, regardless of when released.
Previously, downloads only counted towards chart positions if made during a period of time between a week of the single being released and two weeks of it being deleted.
Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars first charted at number 6 in July last year. Other older singles back in the top 40 include Nelly Furtado's Maneater single and Crazy by Gnarls Barkley, the biggest selling single of 2006, which is now at number 30. The track was the first to reach number one purely through downloads in April 2006 and now, thanks to the new chart rules, it's back.
