Lily Allen is Alright Still and Retains Number One Spot

Lily Allen, daughter of comedian Keith Allen, has kept her spot at the top of the UK singles chart for a second week with her summery hit, Smile. Not many new singles were released last week, so there is little change in the rest of the chart with Shakira keeping her slot at number two in the singles chart with Hips Don't Lie. Similarly, in the album chart, Muse stayed at the top for a second week, with their new album, Black Holes and Revelations.

Lily celebrates staying at the top of the chart with the release this week of her debut album, Alright Still.

Australian band Rogue Traders, fronted by Neighbours soap actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte rose the most places in the chart, going up to number three from their previus position at 18, and Busta Rhymes who rose from number 23 to number eight in the singles chart with I Love My Chick. Other new entries include Rihanna with Unfaithful, in at number 16, James Dean Bradfield
with his solo single, That's No Way To Tell A Lie, in at 18 and Dirty Pretty Things with Deadwood in at number 20.

Meanwhile in the UK album chart, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke was the highest new entry in the album chart with his solo album, The Eraser, which went straight in at number three, no other new entries made it into the top ten.

Catch talented popster, Lily Allen at various live dates throughout July. She also plays The Big Chill, Secret Garden Festival and Get Loaded in Cardiff in August. Muse are headlining this years Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festival. And you can catch the Kooks on tour this September and October.
