Lily Allen Leads Brit Award Nominations

Lily Allen leads the Brit Pack nominations for the Brit Awards 2007. Lily is shortlisted for four awards, including British female solo artist and British album. The other awards are voted for by public text message during the ceremony and include, British breakthrough act, and British single for Smile.

The event's first ever live vote will provide the result for the British single award. The 11 nominated singles will be shortlisted to a final five by commercial radio listeners in the run-up to the event.

A whole host of artists followed Lily's lead with three nominations. Muse are nominated for best British album, British group and British live act. Gnarls Barkley also have three nominations, up for for best International group, album and breakthrough act. As do Corinne Bailey Rae, James Morrison and Snow Patrol.

Amy Winehouse, Kasabian and Arctic Monkeys received two nominations each, as did Bob Dylan and Justin Timberlake who are both up for International album and International male solo artist awards.

The Brit Awards are to be held at Earls Court, London, on February 14th 2007.
