MTV have revealed the nominees for Best Female Video and Best Male Video for the 25th annual Video Music Awards.
Best Female Video Nominations:

The votes were cast by fans across the globe in a new system which allows viewers to have their say in each category. Two new categories are announced by MTV each Friday night and viewers have a week to cast their vote, before the results get announced.
Los Angeles will host the 2008 VMA's for the first time in a decade. Comedian Russel Brand will host the show on September 7th, which will broadcast live from the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood.
As ever, the VMA's will play host to a variety of performances from a number of different artists. The Jonas Brothers will be making their debut appearance at the VMA's this year, as they take to the stage to perform a track from their forthcoming album A Little Bit Longer.
