Hard-Fi: ilikemusic because... what else is there to like?!
dawn Leonetti: ilikemusic because... it makes me spin, giggle and bubble up - kinda my own Rice Crispies cereal ("snap, crackle, pop") in the audio form...
lolo: ilikemusic because... music is where some people display affection, show emotions and actually showing off who they are and their thinking. it is special unlike anything cos it goes out and never comes in back but in others.
Rasmus, Alphabeat: ilikemusic because... It makes me happy and it makes me dance around and sometimes it makes me a bit emotional. It encompasses all the emotions from happiness to sadness and it’s fun to play too.
Daniel: ilikemusic because... When you can finally stop listening to mainstream so called POP and HIPHOP
artists you laugh at how bad it really is. ROCK ON MUSE
Penguin: ilikemusic because... Music is the one thing that really connects people. In the words of The King Blues: music can bring the world together :)
robbie: ilikemusic because... my friends say its cool
John: ilikemusic because... it evokes my emotions like nothing else.
O'Bailey: ilikemusic because... I can live vicariously through a song, whether it's a screaming angry rock anthem or a silly kids song ("I'm a little yellow fish" anyone?) haha!
Meanwhile Take That took home Brits for Best Live Act, decided by listeners of BBC Radio 2, after beating the likes of Muse (who've won for the past three years in a row), Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs to the award, as well as Best Single for Shine.
Take That, Leona Lewis and Mika were nominated in four categories. Mika beat stiff competition from the likes of the mighty Klaxons, Leona and Kate Nash to win British Breakthrough Act, voted for by BBC Radio 1 listeners.
Mika opened the show with a performance alongside The Gossip's fabulous Beth Ditto. Other performances came from Rihanna and The Klaxons who performed a duet of Umbrella, Kylie with new single, Wow, plus Kaiser Chiefs singing Ruby, Leona Lewis with Bleeding Love, Amy Winehouse singing Love Is A Losing Game and a monster of a Mark Ronson medley alongside Adele, Daniel Merriweather and Amy Winehouse. But the top performance of the night came from Sir Paul McCartney who closed the show.
