Madonna has added an eighth London date to her world tour. She will now play Wembley Arena on August 16, which is also her 48th birthday, in addition to August 1, 3, 9,10,12,13 and 15.
Madonna's Confessions World tour will also play at Cardiff Millennium Stadium on July 30.
Tickets for the August 16 show go on sale on May 26 at 9am.

Some 'rigid' commentators have dissed Madonna for singing with a crown of thorns while 'crucified' on a cross. Sadly, we don't expect many of these critics have ever attended the incredible show that is Madonna LIVE! Her ability to dance and maintain perfect choreography while singing, the messages about light and good over evil (hence the references to Bush) are plain to see and made all the more powerful by the strong imagery Madonna includes in her performances. She is an incredible performer and one we should listen to - not just her songs but the messages she conveys about the world in her shows. Ignorance breeds contempt.
