Malakai - May Tour, Festival News and Malakai TV Launch
Bristol oddballs Malakai are back with a May Tour, appearances at Glastonbury, Wireless and Meltdown and the launch of Malakai TV - a digital TV channel.
Malakai have been quietly amassing an army of fans, including Portishead, who've booked Scott from Malakai to DJ dates all over Europe, Massive Attack, who've booked them in to play Meltdown, Zane Lowe, who named Snowflake 'hottest track in the Universe', Hard-Fi, Lily Allen... the list goes on.
MALAKAI TV is an outlet for more of the band's pent up craziness and creativity, weaving together a bizarre world that brings to mind Monty Python, League Of Gentlemen and The Mighty Boosh. The band will be releasing new films every week throughout the summer, all available through the Malakai TV widget. The widget is a groundbreaking application that can be embedded in any page, bringing an archive of Malakai TV episodes and new footage super-easily. Even if it does come in the form of a shabby retro 70's TV set.
